Cream Cheese and Fig Puff Pastry

A puff pastry with cream cheese infused with fresh rosemary with glazed figs.

Layered with fresh rocket leaves with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

I genuinely love how the natural colours just brighten up any dish. ⁣

This is a very quick dish to prepare and so delicious to eat. ⁣

My little one loves anything puff pastry so we like to experiment with new combinations. ⁣

Ingredients

320g Jus-Roll Puff Pastry
6-8 Fresh Figs
400g Violife Cream Cheese
2 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
40-60g Rocket Leaves
2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
Sprinkle Ground Black Pepper

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180C and remove the pastry out of the fridge. ⁣
2. Mix fresh rosemary into the cream cheese (I used @violife_foods ). ⁣
3. Cut up the figs into quarters and lightly glaze them in maple syrup. ⁣
4. Roll out the pastry and spread the cream cheese onto it, leaving an inch around the edges empty to rise. ⁣
5. Spread out the figs on top. ⁣
6. Bake for 15-20mins. ⁣
7. Toss up rocket leave in the balsamic vinegar and a little salt and pepper. ⁣
8. Layer the rocket on top of the pastry.
